I am very confused when people say that Autistic people are very good in their chosen fields? But the problem is Bosses at companies don't want Autistic people and this is why 90% are not employed this is such a shame because in my opinion Autistic people are superior in a lot of ways

i met one of my older brother's friends and he thinks 'm on the spectrum, i asked why and it's essentially because i'm a little awkward when first meeting people, and have a tendency to overthink a lot. that being said, once i know someone and am comfortable around them, things are pretty normal. let's be completely honest here, saying that someone is autistic because of awkward first impressions is a big statement seeing as the majority of first encounters are kind of awkward. what exactly is the logic here? that if you're shy, a little awkward, an introvert or simply a quiet person who keeps to themselves, you must be autistic? sorry, i don't buy it
