... You just won't be able to afford to fill it up. Only driven by an old grampa who only drove it to church on Sundays. Perfect buy. Totally agree with getting an older vehicle, gently used.

Hey! My 2001 Chevy van is a 1-ton chassis (3500 dually, but not 4x4) and I am convinced that while my engine isn't a diesel that will last forever, it is every bit as torquey and reliable at 496 cu inch V-8 Vortec (8.1 liter, 2001, V8, not a V-10). One thing I love about Chevy big blocks? 100% reliable, all the time... Only negative, a little weak on gas mileage, but price of gasoline more than makes up for losing a few MPGs (8-12.5 city/highway).

BTW, hubby says one person can't come to a consensus ... Unless you have multiple voices in your head?

I believe this truck is a 2003, not 2002. 2002 3rd gen RAM 1500 was debuted. The 2002 RAM 2500 or 3500 was the last 2nd gen of the year.

Like the channel quite a bit. Wish there was more Rex. He kinda reminds me of a more energetic version of Jim from the film Spaced Invaders. And btw, I really love that flick.

We know about them hotrod 16 year old days, burning rubber swapping engines and pushing the vehicles we owned mine was a 70 nova and 65 Impala SS as many Chevys I've owned wouldn't own another

Nice looking truck. It is always a good idea to wait it out. I have an older 7.3 and I've taken really good care of it, hope it lasts a while longer. Getting harder and harder to find good, OLD diesels.

Really enjoyed your episode of Paragraphic. Does your home's solar set up provide more power than your home needs, or just enough? Hoping to be off-grid myself someday.
