The 10 Hardest GCSE Maths Questions 2023 | Part 1 | Grade 9 Maths Series GCSE Maths Tutor

Here is a collection of 10 questions that I have selected to be what I believe as “The 10 hardest GCSE maths questions” over the past 3 years of GCSE maths exams. This is obviously subject to opinion, there were 20 questions to select from and this was then fine tuned down to 10 (with 2 vector questions in the mix making 11 questions in total!)

Hopefully this will be helpful for those of you that are aiming for those higher 7-9 grades in your GCSE. I will be launching more videos in this series so keep watch in the description below for further links and make sure you work through my grade 7-9 revision playlist.

For the first question an easier method I found was to essentially make a right angles triangle between on of the upper circles and the bottom one, then proceed to use Pythagoras (24^2 + x^2 = 48^2).

In the second exercise you can use the splitting equation where x and y squared can be written as x of the point times the unknown x and y of the point times the unknown y.
