This was completely brilliant!!!!
Especially how to cut twice at an angle then a second cut to the exact dimension. It saved me from buying and arrow saw. Man everybody has a Dremmel. Thanks

Nice and yet simple. I like the safety goggle idea and the vacuum. That's just smart. Good job!

That works! I was thinking on purchasing a small 90⁰ mitre box off Amazon and just cutting mine with a hack saw. Then using my ASD arrow squaring device to true the ends. I'm like you, no shop near so I DYI everything and I enjoy doing it. Thanks for posting

I've been doing mine almost the same as you, but I have a home made arrow spinner made of four skateboard bearings and I clamp something to stop the arrows at the same spot so they can't move backwards in the spinner. I also clamp a small angle iron where I want the arrows being cut and hold the dremel by hand gently against it. I get super consistent cuts this way and the arrows end being cut straight and the length is excactly the same to a tenth of a mm.

To make the cut perpendicular to the shaft. What i do is put the arrow end im cutting in a drill chuck. Then lightly tighten chuck while rotating the chuck to ensure no wobble. Once tighted enough so arrow is not spinning then i use a fine locksmiths file to score, eventually cutting the shaft while the drill is going at a low speed. Very fast and accurate with a nice clean edge finnish. To lock the trigger on the drill at the speed i liked i wrapped a fine copper wire around the handle and it depresses the trigger. Works great.

I always wondered by the sheer mass of "cut your own arrows" videos none of the participants wears a mask. as far as I know cutting carbon is nearly as poisonous as asbestos. dont you know or dont you care?
