When I worked for a dermatologist I gave glycolic acid peels. We mixed it ourselves depending on what level of acid pain the patient wants and can stand. I used to have severe cystic acne scars. I would wear stage makeup everyday to try and cover it. I didn't want anyone to see me without makeup, even my significant other. In my early 30s I learned that I actually had dry skin, not oily as I had thought, and was actually causing the cystic acne by drying my skin out more with acne treatments. I had this procedure done and all the uncomfortability was absolutely worth it. Holy shit I need this. I have actual holes in my face from fights where I got a few small cuts that I didn't get stitches for which turned out being a tremendous mistake. Plus bad acne scarring.
