hey guys, you do not need to restart. just go in to task manager right click on explorer and click restart. your screen will go a solid colour and your could get your icon

Hey Guys, this actually works but out of some reason only takes effect if you go to Settings > Ease of Acces > High Contrast, then turn High contrast on (The Icon change should already have taken effect) and then turn it off again, since it doesen't look very good!

This doesn't change the icon of file explorer, it only changes the icon of the shortcut.

For anyone not seeing the change on the taskbar, I just restarted my PC like 3 times and it eventually changed

No need to restart the computer. Either just refresh icons or log off and back in. Also, this doesn't change the icon in the top left of File Explorer when you have Quick Access selected.

No, this didn't help me. What I wanted was how to use custom image that is not listed in the icon list.
