It's 0430 it's summer and it has a mind of it's own - heating full on, wife wakes me up. and it's full on. Old style thermostat Model SLT2 turns on automatically - and will not turn off. Despite all dials etc on phone turned off. What can I do? Green light is on, on boiler. They do not care

Just moved into a house with one of these infernal things. It doesn't do what it says in the manual. Previous house gas bill £700 per year. Only been here a week and latest estimate is £2000!!! per year. Boiler coming on all hours of day & night.
All we want to do is to turn boiler on and off when we need it. I dont need all this technology.
Had a chat conversation with someone at Hive and even they couldnt help me.
I cant sleep fo waitingfor the boiler to come on so I can go and turn power off at the mains to stop it. No one seems to be able to help.
I'm thinking of a new boiler without Hive.

These Hive thermostats are a real headache, frankly I think they are really trash. Also been on the Hive themselves and all they want is for you to upgrade to a more expensive thermostat, but won't admit the ones shown here are faulty and defunct!! Also this post tells you what is plain and obvious but avoids showing the very complicated long winded way to set the damn thing to come on or off automatically when desired!! Rather they want to charge £100:00 for an "engineer" to call and set it up for you claiming it takes only five minute, , at those rate I was in the wrong job all my working life!!

My thermostat says no RF and after reset it keeps saying finding .... looks like no radio frequency established .... anyone knows how to resolve that?
