In this video, I talk about how a typical Swede thinks and operates! Sweden is the land that gave us ABBA, Volvo and Ikea! But how is a Swedish persons typical behavior?

Hi everyone! When walking around in the forest, please be careful about which flowers you may walk on or pick up! Some are very fragile or even endangered! The flowers here in this video grow everywhere in the Swedish forests, and unfortunately they’re impossible not to stomp on sometimes because they're everywhere!

Together, we can do our best to protect nature around us! ❤

You were sitting in a painting man! The serenity primes above all.

That is a nice idea about the bar codes. I will start to do that. I never gave it a thought. I remember when the cashier had to enter everything manually into a cash register which required a whole lot more dexterity and acumen than scanning a bar code

Absolutely love it! Almost all the points are valid for the Czech republic too! Countries that are introvert friendly 😁 But we need more saunas here (there are definitely not as many as in Scandinavia)...

I think in some countries we get too wrapped up in ourselves. I know here in America it’s “all about me” which I find disturbing. We want it all and we want it now. I try not to fall into that scenario, but it’s hard not to at times.

What I do love about what you mentioned, is about caring for others. Whether it be keeping your distance, or turning products around for the barcode to be ready to scanned. (Never even crossed my mind, and now we pretty much scan our own stuff) thinking of others before yourself is a better way to a more peaceful world. If we did that, we wouldn’t want to destroy so much.

I know I’ve mentioned this in other comments of your videos, but nudity shouldn’t be looked at as taboo, or sexual. The human body is beautiful. It should not be something you hide. Some of the moats beautiful art in the world is based on nudity, and the artists who painted or sculpted those bare figures knew that, and wanted to preserve the beauty.

From what I gather, your country likes being respected, and respectful. Something we should all strive to do. I love that you took the time to enlighten us. I’ve actually been interested in where you live for some time. I correspond to a couple of people from your country, and we share ideas and cultural topics all the time. I like to think we can all learn from each other.

If it weren’t so costly to travel to far off places, I would love to see Sweden. I think it would be such a wonderful experience! Who knows, maybe one day. Thanks for sharing, and please feel free to tell us more! I think knowledge is key to understanding. And it makes the world a better place. ❤❤

As I have mentioned before, I enjoy watching all of your videos. This one is great because you are educating people on your culture, which helps to understand your lifestyle better.

I love the Swedish perspective you shared. I would love to live in that atmosphere. My family is of German heritage and we are very similar with regards to small talk. I find the American perspective on nudity so frustrating. The more I learn about Sweden from your videos, the more I find that lifestyle and perspective enticing, especially if all the guys are as sweet and gentle as you are.

Loved this Daniel. Yes, definitely do more. All your points are very similar to us here in Canada except for stopping to chat with neighbours (outside the big cities of course). We definitely stop for a chat. And no nudity when jumping in the lake. There are definitely no nude communal saunas. And nudity is extremely sexualized here. Also loved all your nature shots. Thanks for sharing. 🌸

I would define this as an absolutely civilised society.

Apart from turning the bar codes ( which is a nice idea btw, I like it ) everything you said is true for Germany and all the other northeuropean countries too. Our habits make it hard for foreigners to adjust and integrate into our societies ( I am married to a foreigner), although we were always thinking of ourselves as "welcoming" societies.

We loved this video. It so interesting to find out more about Swedes and life in Sweden in general. We would love to see more content like this. We also love your other content.
Sending you lots of love from your fellow YouTubers (in Australia).

Here in Germany, I'm used to taking my shoes off when I enter someones house, unless they tell me I don't need to take them off. But I'm not sure if it's common here or if that's just what my parents taught me ☺
I really like number 5! I myself can't imagine working as a cashier in a big supermarket, it seems extremely stressful, and I actually already feel stressed just by shopping there. I heard that in the big supermarkets here, the workers are measured by how many items they scan per hour or something and have requirements to meet, which is insane to me... I prefer shopping in the tiny store in my town, it may not have a huge variety or many cheap offers, but I still get everything I need, and the cashiers there can take it slow and even have a chat 😊
I noticed that some big supermarkets here have several scanners from different sides so they don't need to turn items most of the time, but I will still keep this in mind for my future shoppings 👍
Nudity is handled differently in my country, and unfortunately I grew up in a family where it was made very secretive and something you should hide and not show. So to this day I feel extremely uncomfortable when being nude, especially if someone can see me, it would be a huge challenge for me to just undress at a lake in sweden and take a swim 😅

This was a fun video Daniel! Love it! I'm totally agreeing with the personal space custom😄 I'm going to try to switch the bar codes around next time I go grocery shopping. That's a nice idea. And, Oatly ice cream is the best!!🙌

Very interesting video, Daniel. I was aware of some of the Swedish ways and I really like the idea of taking your shoes off when you enter houses. There is a very well-know piano teacher in our area who demands that you take off shoes when entering her house.

As an American who works as a cashier I wish customers who shop at stores where we have to physically scan barcodes either on the reader or with a scan gun would face the barcode towards me. It is terribly hard on my arms and wrists and I already have overuse injuries from having to move my hands, arms and wrists for several hours or an entire work day in unnatural ways. I hurt after I finish a shift. Also, many Americans, especially older (boomers mostly) but certain items in plastic bags and I hate it because that creates more work for me and slows down my productivity especially when we are measured for how many items we can scan per minute. Some grocery stores the cashiers do not bag groceries or scan certain items like boxes of soda or other drinks because they have a numeric code for it. This is not the case in all grocery stores, just some.

I love Sweden's view and attitude towards nudity as I personally do not view nudity and purely inherently sexual. America is very puritanical towards nudity and you can thank the puritans and Anglo-Saxons for that mess they created. Nudity in American =sex or sexual. I need to find me a Swedish guy and move to Stockholm now. Jesus. Sweden sounds like a dream to me. Really.

Hello Daniel, it is nice to be looking into your videos. Thanks to Jonna I found you. I see you are a young sensitive person. Hope you will like living in north of Sweden. I liked this short video by which you are describing how to behave in Sweden and towards Swedes in general. I am interested in some more of such general information. I keep coming to Sweden for years and it took me a long time to realize that I must have been doing things in a "wrong" way, but as I am coming from South Europe we do the things just in opposite way. Hope I did not offend anyone with my behavior
.
