Old vid but I will still comment never the less. Thank you for a quick concise vid. I'm so sick of long Bs vids with 2 min content stretched out to 30 mins. Well done.

I never knew how good I had it when I was 16yrs old removing my 66 baja motor. I did it by myself sooo many times. Fast forward to 2022 and I was given a 71 beetle with a dual carb motor that needs to come out and I'm watching this thinking omg it's so much extra work with a standard bug! Lol. Now I know what I get to look forward to. Thanks for the vid!

my Dad bought a brand new 1958 Beetle then a 63 new one and a 68 so he had. A special love for Bugs in general. In the 1970s we lived on the same street as a family member who is a Rock and Roll Drummer and when he and his Wife bought their first house it became a hangout and crash destination for many of their 1970 Hippie freinds one of which drove a Aircooled VW Beetle accross the Country many times my Dad took a liking to that guy who was often outside Wrenching on his car my Father used to come home after talking to the guy and tell me how many hundreds of thousand miles my Cousins band ate and Freind now had on his Beetle in total amazement what my Dad never knew was this Hippie was stealing newer Beetles out of Driveways in the middle of the night and had a System that he could swap out their Engine width his in under 3 hours so he would return their car the same night running with. A old worn out Engine when he had a newer one in his Beetle ! My Dad passed away about 12 years ago and my Cousin told me that story at a family event privately as to why that Freind drove his Beetles for so long I remember VW used to give out badges for every one hundred thousand miles and they attached onto the engine lid or the air vents above the Engine Cover. / below the rear window my Dad wasn’t stupid or naive he was just a friendly guy that liked and trusted almost anyone especially someone that he had common interests with and was talkative and friendly my Cousin is still in the Music scene and his old Freind still stays in touch with him all these years later last I heard he was driving those older Toyota pick up truck motorhome Conversions still traveling around the Country and apparently living in Campgrounds

You should do an engine pull of a FUEL INJECTED BUG.
Focused on the injection harness.

When I used to do this I would jack up the car and place two tires. (with rims), under the car. That was all the room I deeded to pull the engine.

I’ve done this on my 71 sBug about a million times it feels like, but seeing a video of pros ddoing it, is going to help with next time I have to rip it out. Could you also make a video of how to put the engine back in, I always struggle with that part

You don't need to jack the car up higher to slide the engine out, just remove the rear tire and slide out theside, there's lots of room!

please clarify when you are jacking the car up to slide the engine under the apron, Where exactly is the middle of the chassis? I want to make certain I have the strong point. Thank you

Hi. Is it possible to change the intake. Manifold from a 1200cc engine without taking the engine out?
