3 years ago when this video came out I was in such a bad place mentally but told myself once I'd get back on my feet that I would hike this exact trail when I'd visit Japan.
1.5 weeks ago I managed to do so and I don't think I've ever been more at peace than I was there. (besides thinking about bears from time to time).

My husband and I (plus a friend) did this walk about 4 years ago. It's magical. We felt the same as you - pure joy. Watching your video brought tears to my eyes. There's something about the breeze through the rice paddies... Amazing. And the little tea houses /traditional rest stops were lovely.
