1:09, Sweet Pea is the strongest. She is the mind, Babydoll is the body. The mind is powerful than the body. (Now, don't go arguing with me with Biology. You know what I meant.) Babydoll serves as the protector, a hero. This is all Sweet Pea's. Her body (Babydoll) is left behind in the asylum which she was lobotomized, but her mind (Sweet Pea) is set free. Her escape from the brothel and the bus station is the symbol of her freedom and destination.

This movie was effectively badass and heartfelt. Zack Snyder is seriously underrated. His passion is all over this movie, and despite its flaws this is a thoroughly enjoyable piece of cinema. The emotion in this scene is overwhelming. Just saying.

There’s something so powerful about the quick shot where the uplifting music kicks up as Baby Doll stands in front of the men, surrounded completely in dark depressing color schemes, in her bright white and blue sparkly outfit. This movie is so much deeper than people think.

Babydoll was the last item that she needed to get free by sacrificing her body. As the needle plunged into her eyes it’s when she left her body and the real world, living in her fantasy she’s now free in her own mind. She did escaped even if it’s mentally and it’s when blue starts crying and realizing that she had already escaped and he just has her body now, because without mind he can’t do anything he wanted with her. And by sacrificing her body through the way she managed to help sweet pea escape in the real world, she’s the strongest and the oldest of the all, and by escaping she’s telling us the story and also her parents as well.

Just the image of Sweet Pea at the gate combined with the music always makes me cry

This movie is great eye candy with explosive action, which blinded some reviewers to the fact it actually had a deeply layered and unique story that was remarkably well-constructed. Everything builds towards the ending.

That wasn't the whole ending!! Need to watch how Sweetpea is saved at the end on the bus by the driver ;) You need to see Baby's face because, she smiles because she is free.

Am I the only one that thinks baby doll wasn’t sweet pea like everyone suggests? At the end they hammer the needle into her eye (used as mind control) as if it symbolizes them nailing her down because she tried to get away. She smiles at the end while getting abused because the only thing that keeps her from breaking was knowing/imagining sweet pea got away. Really sad ending..
