Notes I took on this video:
1. You can learn about life in the classroom
2. Failure builds character. Although failure sucks, sometimes its the best thing for you.
3. Don’t waste time being someone you’re not.
4. How much you put in doesn’t always correlate with how much you get out. That’s just life. Either work harder or choose to pivot.
5. Allow yourself to wander and explore and discover what your interests are.
6. Getting older is cool. Getting older opens up so many more doors. Things come with time age and maturity.
7. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. Don’t tie your identity to one thing. You’re bound to get disappointed at one point.
8. Reach out to people! People are way more willing to help you than you realize. People are willing to help as long as you show you are genuinely interested.
9. If you see something you can change it, you have more power than you know. She started a CS mentorship program at Stanford :) it happened cuz she was willing to talk about her frustrations with the President
10. Adults are still figuring it out too. There is no age where you hit where everything will suddenly make sense. Take opportunities as they come. You don’t have to have every detail figured out.

I'm not in college yet but here are two things I learned in 2020!
1) Your happiness does not depend on other people or the events that life throws at you, you, you're the only person that can make you happy.
2) There is no need to compare with someone else's successes or to be jealous about something you don't have, be genuinely happy for others knowing that you have more in store in your future as well :)

Such a brilliant first life lesson! I'm a masters student in England and reading the Bible has definitely helped me in my academic studies and personal life! Great to see and God bless you!

I am the Father of a daughter your age range, so I can say you are on the right track. You have a sound start with your approach to life and so keep going. Btw I like your podcasts.

It was me but stuck in the mind and have not figured out or reflected it throughly without you. Thank you so much for speaking up these things and let us not be alone.

Tiffany can you do a video on your experience as an asian american? I want to know what your experience with racism was like growing up in America.

This is so great but now I'm no longer a college student but sharing my experience is that

1. Sometimes you work hard everyday and it'll not give you the expected results and at that point don't be sad or loose hope just take a day off and start again with a fresh mindset maybe you will find something you never thought before.

2. Sometimes the answers are very simple and obvious just need to think with a different perspective

Beautiful video, inspired me to read again Frost's poem "The Road Not Taken." Sounds like you had an amazing college experience and will find true success, as will anyone applying the lessons you have shared into their own lives.

It is always a game of "where did she put the TS reference this time" for every new video released. Love the 10 lessons!! Maybe a video about lessons learnt from your years being involved with the varsity rowing next? :D

As someone planning to take Computer Science, this really helped me feel better about deciding on a career choice. Some schools ask what dream job is or what you plan to do during/after college, and I never really know what to write; I want to be a CS major but I don’t know much about the field so I’m hoping to use college as a place to learn what type of career paths are out there. I’m happy to know that this is normal and that I don’t have to force myself to fit in with other CS majors & what they want to do. Thank you!

Not taking things personally was the biggest lesson I learned towards the end of my college years.
