What makes the underlying model for Cardano so attractive to me is the way you can effectively hold the funds yourself while allowing them to work for you in the ecosystem. I can keep my investment safe and sound in a software or hardware wallet which nobody can get to yet those same funds are compounding returns in the system. There should be no need to put your hard-earned at risk, so be very suspicious of anyone who offers a different arrangement.

I liked your commentary on the value of the Plutus pioneer programme. Another benefit I think it brought is that it provided a free high-quality education opportunity to the “Plutus Pioneers”, the majority of whom are very intelligent people. They will likely remain loyal to the project because of the investment IOHK made in them. I can’t see that failing to be a boon.

I did a dumb thing once and entered a seed phrase into a fake wallet, I was trying to stake some ATOM. Lost about $3k worth of ATOM at the time. Started taking security seriously since then. Glad it wasn't my ADA.

ATOM sucks. I got suckered into the fake wallet only because I couldn't get a couple legit wallets to work -- when I entered the seed phrase I thought my funds were already gone, but they weren't -- and that was because ATOM sucks. Just wanted to restate that to be super clear.

I personally want maximum privacy, anonymity and security.
The world is changing rapidly, to the better I hope. But I dont think so, if we cant keep our politicians on a leash and big tech comp in control without manipulation throu lobbyists, we are in trouble.
