SIMPLE BEER BREAD
3 cups of all purpose flour or self-rising flour (sifted, optional)
3 tsp baking powder (omit if using self-rising flour)
1 tsp salt (omit if using self-rising flour)
¼ cup sugar
1 12oz can or 12oz bottle of beer
¼ cup of melted butter (½ stick)

Preheat oven to 375 deg. Mix the dry ingredients and the beer. Pour into a greased loaf pan. Now pour the melted butter over the mixture. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes. Bread will be firm to the touch when done. Crust will be crunchy and buttery. Let stand in the pan for 5 minutes then remove from pan and allow to cool on a reck for another 10 minutes before slicing.

Hey just tried the recipe, waiting for it to come out of the oven. I wanna thank you because, due to the shut down and panic in Las Vegas me and my brother had no bread. Then I came across your video and we went out and bought a big ole case of bud light since we had so much self rising flour thanks to family. My aunt gave me this recipe years ago, and I love it! No muss no fuss, no kneading, resting or rising, just mix and bake. You can dress it up or dress it down any way you like, some of my favorite ways are with with Italian seasoning, occasionally I’ll do jalapeño and whole kernel corn and shredded cheese, or with dried cranberries or other fruits for a sweet bread. Thinking of trying pears and cinnamon next! You just can’t mess it up. This is one versatile bread.

This bread is delicious! I watched it for the first time a couple of days ago and I have already made it twice! My husband loves it! I made this for dinner last night, adding some minced onion, oregano and basil. Delish! This bread slices nicely, warm or cooled, which is a biggie to me. And it's crust is SO crunchy! I give this recipe a huge 2 thumbs up, though next time I make it I won't use anything, spice-wise, just so I get a good feel for the basic taste. Great recipe, great tutorial, and right now, with yeast almost impossible to find, this is a great way to keep bread on the menu without needing to go shopping! Thanks for sharing!!!

To all viewers, please note the pan she used is quite large - a "standard" old fashioned Pyrex, etc, loaf pan is a lot too small as I found out the the hard way the first time :^)

Love to make beer bread! My dad always put sugar in it and added extra butter to give it the same sweet and salty quality of sweet georgia cornbread. My husband's favorite is my blue moon bread. I add the juice and zest of an orange and some thin orange slices on the top with a little sugar as well🍊❤
