Remember 20-25 years ago, banks were building their branches on every street corner... No more.

You could build a hockey rink inside that vision store. They make it so big...what are they afraid people will be bumping into each other because their vision needs correcting ?

I feel like most places in a mall are just money laundering schemes. Lol

Because people buy stuff they don't need with money they don't have, and are in debt up to their eyeballs.😂

good, time to trim the fat. silver lining is hopefully people wake up.

the unfortunate side is of course tough times ahead.

Thats' because down the street, they've built 20 outdoor shopping centers that are inconvenient during the winter to replace these ones. The only thing is, these still cost the same regardless because they still use the lights, the AC and people to keep it clean. If they really wanted to save money, they would have spent time to make these places more efficient instead of wasting everyones money building more and more and more.

Yeah, like Sharper Image going out of business. It was just for wants, not needs.

I’ve barely visited local malls, since 2008 and that was because I was working Apple Retail. I’m one of the missing people at these malls as, my parents, siblings and I used to go all the time, in the 80s to early 90s. If I’ve run to the mall, it was to run in and get an Auntie Anne’s pretzel and back out. I also know there l’a a Dead Malls list out there and it’s been so, since before the pandemic. With so much available online and often HAVING to wait, until something ships or not buy it at all, going to the mall is often not even an option anyway. Now I’m my later years and with the economy changing to what it is and is becoming, my family of origin gone, I wouldn’t find myself hanging out at a mall anyway. Even the malls with movie theaters? We have flat screens and the foods we enjoy now.

To all who support Kamala Harris: Are you better off now than 4 years ago? Are groceries cheaper? Is gas cheaper? Are homes more affordable? Do you feel safer?

It's because the biggest needs - food, housing, medical, insurance, transportation - is require much of one's income. The problem is greedy predatory speculative capitalism. Too much money is concentrated amongst the fewer wealthy people. There has to be a structural change in the dynamics of US capitalism.

Seems like the only people that can afford things these days are the migrants 😂

Furry Babies sounds like a store for children's products. There were a bunch of fads of children's toys in the 1980s and 1990s where people paid crazy amounts of money to get the hottest toys for their kids.

I had my last pair of glasses made at Zenni Optical, an online optical store. They charged me $28 delivered for glasses. Costco would charge $100 and a normal optician would probable charge $300. Eyeglasses are a monopoly outside of WalMart, Costco and the online places.

It's more like which businesses can create taxpayer bailouts for themselves (banks, Tesla, wall Street, farmers, finance/mortgage industry, etc). Just look at the 5 biggest lobbies on k street. 😂
