in 1999 Cyclone Vance hit the coast of Western Australia. I live 400kms inland in Western Australia's Central Wheatbelt. Dry as hell here! The rain that Vance produced turned 10000 acres of land into a lake. That lake stayed there for over 5 years before drought took it. We use to ski and fish on/in it. Was bloody magical in summer!

Losing electricity for a week or two is most inconvenient, as my pressure pump needs it and without it things like washing yourself or flushing your toilet are impossible.
