The worst hurricane ive been through was sandy... Back in 2012 it destroyed my home town, Fires and floods, almost every house was destroyed. and it forced me and my parents to move. Man, I remember Katrina. Gut-punched the country. Then along came Rita on its heels and gut-punched us again in quick succession. Add in the fact that Katrina dethroned Andrew as the costliest hurricane in our history and we couldn't catch a break. We're about to hit 20 years since then.

The largest hurricane/typhoon in recorded history is typhoon Tip/Warling in the Philippines, was the largest storm measuring 2000km/1242 miles in size and had wind speeds of 306km/190 miles per hour. The hurricane/typhoon with the fastest recorded wind speeds is hurricane Olivia, recorded in 1996 on Barrow Island near Western Australia, which had wind speeds (peak gusts) of 408km/253 miles per hour, and was 220km/136 miles in size, that's like having an EF5 tornado that is 136 miles in diameter, the largest ever recorded tornado was 2 miles wide, that is just insane.

I remember hurricane Patricia
As an F1 fan I was watching on TV the US Grand Prix at COTA in Texas and it actually affected the race weekend with heavy rain forcing them to cancel the final qualifying session

I'm so glad I've lived in Scotland all my life as we never get anything as destructive as these storms
