let me save everybody $140. With my air conditioner the issue was the pipe that drains the water away from the unit had clogged up. water had backed up into a sensor that triggered the unit to always be off. this in turn had made the thermostate power off. just drained the water... cleaned the pipe with a pipe cleaner (rag on a stick) and boom back in business.
the dude charged me $140 for coming out - but it is what it is... lesson learned.
