I mean cool everyone is trying to figure out every possible move to play like the pros. My advice…try to just play like yourself. It’s great to get tips but it’s very unrealistic to try to be the next Federer or Novak or Nadal. Everyone plays differently, everyone is unique. Play for fun and enjoy yourself and don’t worry that you aren’t exactly 45 degrees facing a certain way or that your arm stretches across the base line!

So it looks like the wrist starts releasing (straightening out) and slowing down to allow the racket head to catch up prior to making contact with the ball. In addition the arm starts inner rotation just prior to contact.

And and jump step into closed position, providing full extension of the arm

Funny how it is possible to highlight so many different aspects of a swing. Could've gonna into for instance foot positioning, weight distribution, biomechanics and many more

Players play, coaches try to codify

All good til u need wrist surgery. Too acute angle for me to recommend one to copy. Difference with him and Fed - Fed has less acute angle on the lag and less extreme take back.

You need a Wilson racket to be able to do so🎉

Rec player can’t do that, simply because they don’t coil enough. Without a good coil where’s the power gonna come from with that tiny racket take back?

wow, former qualified coach here... Firstly full western grip, so hold the racquet in front of you like you are straining spaggetti.. Why well look at the wrist is directly opposite the side of the ball on contact... giving MAXIMUM stiffness of the arm, translating to maximum force into the ball. Also the racquet Head is coming from Low to high with a LOOSE wrist before contact and maximum swing with the racquet ending up over the shoulder and hitting his back.... Want to be good at ground strokes, show me your back bruisers (Nadal Roster swing excepted!!!)

How he gets that wrist lag I’ve no idea. I tried it and felt like my wrist was going to snap

Not a good video. You are pointing out stylistic elements and not the key elements of the next gen forehand nevertheless any forehand

I have the same forehand as him, however, as I turn, my strings are completely facing the ground.

you are 100% misconstruing and misrepresenting what happens (so the 90% of the coaches online or otherwise). Please watch his legs and hip motions - instead of the arms 1) on coiling the racket goes behind the hip. as you bend the knee. 2) on uncoiling you must turn hip first while detremining the bounce of wall (the racket stays behind) and you are pulling the racket while the back foot comes the ground. The right hip drags the racket (chest motion) - then the non-dominant arm automatically goes back. Hip - leg - shoulder are doing most of the job NOT the arm!!!
