I like Dimitrov’s forehand better. But Ruud gets better results

They may seems similar (and to Federer), cause the base technique is the same but Ruud FH is really better and complex than Dimitrov. And it's a piece of art really fear on tour. Because of some details that he had more than Gregor FH. Casper has more top spin (the most on tour). Here his what he do more and is key : 1-Lift the racquet more higher at the beginning. 2-Bend his knees more. 3-Open the hip angle while starting to drope the racquet face parallele to the floor. 4-Slow a little bit the motion of the racquet face still parralele to the floor than start to point his rigth foot inside. 5- Initiate rotation of hips, trunk, shoulder, the knee are still bend, while hitting the ball way under his knee. + He has amazing foot work in general when he pkace himsrlf to hit the ball. Those are details that make his FH exceptionnal (wish I can do that). And in the video it's an easy average FH for him... at full power he almost fly because he add a lot more jump on his knees when he hit the ball and the trunk rotation is insane !

Dimitrov's FH is better suited to taking the ball early. Ruud's bc of the grip is more for letting the ball drop a little before contact. Therefore I prefer Dimitrov's FH.
But ehh who's counting 😉

Ruud looked pretty good on that one, hit the ball in front and used his legs more.

Dimitrovs is cleaner technically and better to copy for recreational players, but in game Ruuds is just much better, given how shaky his backhand is and how his serve is good for his height, but not a deadly weapon either, that shit single-handedly carried him to several major finals and n2 in the world. Just shows how good that forehand really is.

Its not even close. Dimitrov's forehand is as perfect as it gets. Ruud's swing path is too low to high.

Dimitrov looks nicer, Casper can do more with it. Dimitrov is more limited when it comes to spin(even tho he hits tons of pace). Casper can do it all with his forehand. Super thankful I’ve gotten to see them both practice.
