Auto-Focus Old Manual Lenses with the PRONTO Lens Adapter!

The new PRONTO Auto-Focus Lens Adapter for Sony cameras does the unbelievable: it can auto-focus practically any lens you mount on it.

Just set your Leica M lens to infinity focus and mount it onto the PRONTO. Power up your Sony camera, and PRONTO will adjust the lens' position to focus the image, all under the control of Sony's Phase Detection auto-focus system. I can testify it's a great thing!

It might be tricky, since sometimes it doesn't have the whole range of movement needed to focus near AND far.
solution?
just focus manually "near" to perfect, and let this little machine perform it's magic. now you can shoot moving subjects and nail focus time after time.

Thanks for this, which is the most professional photo product presentation I've seen so far. I could list the many things done well including the presenter's performance. There are only two things I think should be changed: 1) 2 pounds was listed in specs. Add metric and you'll more directly communicate with the vast majority in the world. I see 2 cm was mentioned elsewhere. and 2) In the list of adaptable lens mounts, many common and a couple of uncommon mounts were listed as compatible. It took me quite some time to finally confirm that the Canon FD mount works with the system (I hope I'm right) via an FD-LM adapter. Canon FD lenses include some of the best ever made, are widely available and mostly an incredible bargain.

Now that Pronto Lens Adapter what is the framing with the APS-C Sony camera? Did we loose anything? I would love to return to the fantastic Leica lenses (if I ca found some in my area) !
