Because all Indian immigrants want to be IT specialists in Canada. But they do not take into consideration that we have enough of our ITs with Canadian university degrees.

There’s definitely work for project managers but not everyone should be one. I am an IT PM.. yes, it is true that you can earn 6 figures.. my highest salary was just under 200k a year. But im noticing a lot of companies are short changing PMs for their worth… Canada isn’t competitive when it comes to their salaries. The under 200k one was an american consulting firm. Canadian companies are likely to offer 60-120k with the median being 85k. It’s also not very stable since projects are typically funded from investment money… and that stuff is available if the company is flush with cash… right now everyone is tightening their belts and cutting left, right and center. I am struggling to support a IT program with limited resources and the timeline is not reasonable. It’s incredibly stressful type of work. I aged by several years during the pandemic. Just be really sure this is what you wanna get into. Again, not everyone is fit to be a PM. Even the PMs at my current org aren’t properly trained and the company has a distasteful view of PMs because they experienced bad PMs. The career itself is not equitable, and doesn’t accommodate for your problems. It is no wonder why PMI reported a high attrition rate for PMs and even 23% of them don’t ever return to the profession.

Hey guys, loved the video. I have a video request for you. With the upcoming Newfoundland and Labrador job fair on 24 January, could you please make an in-depth video on what is the procedure of such job fairs, what are you meant to do online (just sit and watch the event end or something else) and also what are some things that you can do to greatly increase your chances of acquiring a job offer from such fairs...

Excellent content. Just a feedback: the audio volume needs to be increased and optimized. The audio is not very audible without using headphones. Hope it helps! Keep up the great work 👍
