ZOOM In on the Sun! #shorts

There's been lots of activity on the Sun. I pointed my telescope at it and captured 250 gigabytes of data.

There were three sunspots nearly the size of Earth.

I panned around the sun and saw all sorts of activity. The plasma storms can tower over many Earths and reach 10,000°F (5,537°C).

I used my Explore Scientific AR102 telescope, ZWO ASI174MM camera, and Celestron AVX mount to capture it. I'm also using an Astronomik L3 energy rejection filter.

Remember, NEVER point your telescope at the sun without the proper solar filters to protect your eyes and gear.

Your videos are amazing, dude! You have inspired me to do sun photography of my own. Unfortunately, I do not have a telescope but I do have a camcorder which has some pretty good zoom. The photos I’ve took aren’t great but I am proud of them. One day, I will get a telescope and I will be able to do astrophotography better.

Man you’re a massive Inspiration to me and my little brother because we never used to like space but now we’ve heard of the nebula we’re getting very into it thank you so much

Are those images the actual images that your capturing or are they reconstructions?!

Since space as cold as siquiera nitrogen, perhaps the plasma fusion reaction on the sun is a cold fusion which produces light and not heat. And the earths ozone acts like a magnifying glass making it hot only close to the surface at the focal points and warm around the edges. While upper atmospheric temps are below 32 degrees.

that was amazing, I'll repeat it here!

I love your channel, I also live in Detroit, you capture some golden stuff for living in all this light-pollution here in the city. keep up the stellar work 👍

Imagine having a telescope where you can literally see activity moving on the sun. It’s literally insane if you think about it, your casually looking at some phenomenal body in the solar system and it’s just simply amazing
