What Happened To The Aircraft: Lion Air Flight 610 crashed on October 29, 2018, shortly after taking off from Jakarta, Indonesia. The investigation revealed that the crash was primarily caused by a combination of technical issues and human error. The aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX, experienced problems with its angle of attack (AOA) sensors, which provide crucial data for the flight control system. Faulty sensor data caused the aircraft's automated system, known as the Maneuvering Characteristics Augmentation System (MCAS), to repeatedly push down the plane's nose. The pilots struggled to regain control of the aircraft as it repeatedly pitched downward. Tragically, the plane eventually crashed into the Java Sea, resulting in the loss of all 189 lives on board. The investigation led to changes in the aviation industry, including modifications to the MCAS system and improvements in pilot training.
