Baking a Cake for 4.5 Years is Perfectly Acceptable

Please, don't try this in real life.

Gourmet Guy loves food so much, he'll even eat a cake that's been cooked in the oven for 4.5 years. And he'll enjoy every bit of it.

I threw in another counter glitch at the end of this video, since it's pretty strange. Plus, some people aren't aware of the fact that you can enter Princess Peach's room at the beginning of the game, so I figured I'd show that off anyway.

Using Bonecrusher's data, Rain was the guy who figured out the counter used for baking the cake doesn't have a limit. Check him out on Twitter on YouTube!

Drawing inspiration from the "Hitting a Block for 416 Years Crashes Paper Mario" video, Exylophone decided to look into other counters found in this game. He discovered the bit with the Toad guard in front of Princess Peach's room. His YouTube channel can be found here:

Well, time to test this on my console copy of Paper Mario. Hopefully there's no lightning storms for the next 4 years.

When Gabe Newell bakes a cake:
"After nine years in development, hopefully, it will have been worth the wait."

The N64 would overheat after 4.5 years, so that cake won't be the only thing cooking

It's not that your cake is good it's that he's just starving.

Imagine taking the cake out after the integer overflow, but before hitting the next 23-36 second range.

Gourmet guy: THIS CAKE IS UNDERCOOKED!
Peach: But it's been in the oven for--
Gourmet guy: COOK IT LONGER!

Imagine actually baking a cake for 4.5 years then missing those extra seconds.

I'd just like to share that as of today it is approximately this video's 4.5 year anniversary. This means that this is the earliest point that someone who after seeing this video actually attempted to bake a cake for 4.5 years in real time would reach the point of completion.
