Robert Wadlow was 8ft 11 in. He weighed 8lb 6oz at birth, but at 6mo he was nearly 30lb, and at 18mo. Was 67lb. His weight at its highest was only 439lbs. He died from sepsis when he got an infection from a sore made by a brace that he wore on his leg, he was only 22 yrs of age.❤

Robert wadlow was the tallest man to ever be recorded in human history. Which had an abnormality in the pituitary gland which caused in overproduction of growth hormones that had never been treated. When he was 5 he was already 5’7 and when he was 8 yrs old he was already taller than his father. Later he worked in the circus. He ended up being so tall he was being known nationally. He was still growing so he had to get a leg brace because his nervous system couldn’t keep up. However, he didn’t realize that one of the leg braces he had was rubbing against his ankle which caused a serious infection by the time he was 22 he died in his sleep. One of the quotes he said was that he declared himself a normal human being.

Dude was almost 9 ft tall. I remember standing next to his statue in Illinois and being a lil over 4 ft tall and his cane was as tall as me. Its mind blowing to stand next to it cause its so much more impressive when your next to it than just imagining it
