The goal of this activity is to practice confidence and exposure in the end range positions of rising to standing from overhead squat/snatch.

Place the barbell on J-hooks. Initially, these should be positioned at an appropriate height where you will begin the drill from a power stance (hips above knees). You may also place plates under your heels.

To progress difficulty, you may lower the hooks and begin the drill in a deeper squat; you can also add plates to the barbell.

As you reach for the bar, inhale 360* into your trunk, create tension and activate all your trunk, hips, feet, and shoulder muscles. Then exhale as you stand up with the bar overhead. Maintain control as you return the bar to the hooks.

You may rest your grip and reset (or re-organize) before performing a second repetition.
