The Israeli version of events makes no sense. According to Palestinians, it was the IDF itself that killed the hostages. For the Resistance, the hostages are far more valuable alive than dead. For Israel, the hostages are more valuable dead, as an excuse to decimate the West Bank, as they did in GAZA. The Hannibal Directive is a particularly nasty piece of IDF work. Further, released hostages speak well of how they were treated.
