Do you know if this valve works fine when we have a water softener and recirculation pump?

Time will tell how long this will last, I think you are on well water? correct me if I am wrong. But I have heard that well water being hard will effect the small impeller inside this unit, I see a water softener but if its after this valve it wont help. Just an observation. I have well water and was looking at the YoLink water sensors instead, it shuts off the main water valve instead and I don't have to cut any pipe to install it.

Moen wants you to install a wye strainer with a 100 mesh or finer screen and blow out port. right be for the device, at least do it correctly if your going to make a video
