I always thought maxing out the drag was unrealistic. If you do max the drag irl more often than not the line will break. Like if you use a 20lb reel with 20lb line and the fish runs on you, 8/10 times the line will pop.

Good video just sharing my thoughts.

Thanks Dave, good to be back and already enjoying your content as before. like i never left. well almost. Ive only just experienced the new mechanic and have countless pre made max drag templates. I couldnt figure out why last night my leader kept breaking despite my reel being the weekest link. I did notice I had to back my drag off one click to fix that but still for the life of me cant figure out why that is the case. I can only assume that max drag is effectivley a full lock now (NO DRAG) I'll get by with being one click down for now as i cant imagine going in and remaking so many templates :/

Alright so, I did figure this part out, but here is a question. Is there a way to tell how many clicks of drag u have on a reel when u go to buy it?

sneaky to choose a reel now with higher drag than the pole max, ive never thought of that :D
