, I'm a little confused. Bought the kids laptops and made them an account. I somehow connected them to my account, but I don't know that I made it as a kid account. However, they are still admins on their laptops even though I made myself admin. I'm trying to follow the instructions given through Microsoft Family Safety but when I get to the part where it says to select their account from Family & Other users, to change it, I don't see their account, only my other child's and mine. Do I have to completely sign my child out and sign myself in as admin on her laptop in order to change her account type?

I have done all the steps, but after signing in to child's account it doesn't show the windows device on Family Safety.

Nope. Doesn't work for Windows 11 devices. The instructions say, "Under family, select your child and press 'allow'." That "Allow" button isn't there for Windows 11 devices and so you cannot connect it.

What if we create another Microsoft Account for Microsoft edge which is not logged into parental control then also parent can monitor..?

Would this be possible if the child uses different laptops, as both my son and daughter have their own?

Doing this way didn't block the chrome browser from my son's profile. Though chrome was shown in the blocked apps list, he was able to open chrome, Mozilla etc and browse any blocked website while logging in from his profile
