If I could like this a billion times I would. I have been dying to be able to double up when paired to my computer, but even when I double up from my phone while my computer is the second device connected it would kick the second speaker off when I start playing from the computer. This worked! Thank you!

If you can't pair a UE BOOM with a device or can't double up a pair of UE BOOM speakers these TWO things are important and always solve the problem for me.
1) RESET the the UE BOOM or two UE BOOMs if your doubling up. 
Power on. Press the on/off button and the minus sign button simultaneously. Wait up to ten seconds for the percussive noise which signals a reset. The UE BOOM will power off. You have successfully reset.
2) Remove the UE BOOM or UE BOOMS from your device. You can do this in the bluetooth preferences however it works with your OS. 
Once your device is clear turn on your UE BOOMs and double up as described in the video above.
This works for me. Every time.

This is awesome, thank you. I just bought these speakers yesterday and the guy at the store was clueless as to if this was even possible. I figured it must be, so I bought them anyway. This video was simple and worked on the first try. <3

Nothing worked UNTIL I updated the firmware (not sure if it was needed, but why not right).
Also, be sure to connect each speaker separately (on/off one at a time) and give each speaker it's own name "boom 1, boom 2, etc in the app settings (if using the app). Otherwise the app did not recognize the speakers separately, even though my phone's bluetooth was connected to 2 speakers. Then, on the app, I was able to drag the 2nd speaker to the center of the screen and get them both synced. Phew... Rockin now! Hope you all have the same good luck.

When you press the button twice, make sure that it's two quick clicks. Slow presses do not work.

You should mention that the FIRMWARE in the UE Booms needs to be up to date, and both UE booms need to have the same firmware version for this to work.

This simply doesn't work (firmware updated) upon first connect via Bluetooth so no idea if this ever worked. Via the app is pretty flaky too...

Thanks a million for this video. I connected two UE boom speakers to device supported on Windows Phone OS and it worked perfectly though sound was doubled up at the first time. I had to use UE app for Android  on Samsung Galaxy and switched to stereo mode. After the next pairing to Windows Phone OS sound was stereophonic.  Thank you once again.

Does this also work with UE Boom 1 (first generation)? Because pressing the buetooth button twice on my second device does not have any effect at all.

Awesome guys. A tutorial that worked first go. Love my ue booms. Apart from yellow charging cord.not robust enough, have thrown away 2. I'm glad I had 4 booms with 4 cords. Now 2
