Yes I do grow lemongrass Tony, in fact, I'm also making a video about it lol... Interesting to get your perspective on growing this excellent herb in a colder climate than mine and I reckon you covered it well mate, cheers 👍

6:57 just started my first batch of 10 from store bought lemon grass. They all rooted, although some took longer than others. You just need to be patient and give them up to 14 days to root thoroughly. I’ll put them in my heated greenhouse throughout the winter and place them outside after the last frost.

hi mate
I have been growing lemon grass, or as it is called in France Citronelle de Madagascar, for the past 10 years, in a big terracotta pot, always been outside. big frost and snow every years and it's still great. just cut it back in winter. no worries

I grew lemongrass last year. I had two lots, 1 I placed in a pot In the greenhouse and 1 in full sun at the allotment. The allotment grass grew far better. Also I use the leaves along with thyme and ginger as a tea with a little honey tastes wonderful. Harvist the leaves a good half handful and tie them in a knot scrunch and place in a pan along with a small bunch of thyme and a few slices of ginger. Bringing to the boil sieve into a cup and add honey to suit your taste.

I started growing lemongrass this year. It did wonderfully, took off and got huge. It received lots of sun and plenty of water and decent soil. Ive been making thai dressings with it, but want to find other ways to preserve it and use it. I like your demeanor, enjoyed your video.

I'm watching your video now because I bought a little sprout from the garden center and I'm going to repot it today but wasn't sure about what to do. Thank you for this video.

Fantastic Video! I have recently got a plant and planning to grow it indoors till next summer! I just want to say- don't throw the leaves away, they have exact same smell and may help you with your oil. We use this lemongrass for tea in India and yes it helps sooth stomach cramps due periods.

I've not been successful at it once before when I tried but this spurs me on to try again. Great information. Thanks!

Decided to give it a go and so far it's working really well from shop bought and not even organic as they don't have it. The roots are developping well and new shoots are appearing. I left them on the window seal in a glass following your instructions. Soon they will be ready to plant in their first pots. Thank you very much for the savy knowledge and also, you really are a great teacher; you really know how to explain things clearly and simply.Thank you so much for all this. Xoxo

Thank you for this thorough and informative video. I'd never grown lemon grass before until the 3 spare ones I'd put in water had started rooting. I'd already potted them on and marvelled at how quickly the leaves were growing before I found this on YouTube. You've already taught me such a lot! Thank you, and a very Happy New Year to you 🌿

Hi, this is a great video to watch. I’ve just bought some lemongrass from the store and giving it a go at regrowing lemongrass. Fingers crossed I’ll get some roots and can plant this up for the summer, here in the UK. Thank you for sharing this video and your useful information and tips.

I live in Southern Louisiana, I have been having the plant for about a year and its been doing great, but now seems to be dying. I've learned, from your video, that I need to put it in the ground or in a bigger pot, it needs to be fed as well. Thanks for the tips.
