Exporting multiple bodies as one stl file in Fusion 360 is quite simple although not very intuitive. In this quick tip I show you how to do exactly that.

The tip at the end is even more useful that the entire beginning of the video. The ability to selectively export multiple bodies in a single operation has earned you my subscription. Looking forward to more videos like this one.

This video was a huge time saver. I design housing in Fusion 360 with multiple parts. When they are completed, the last steps I do is a move to a common plane for 3D printing. I could never figure out what was shown in this video and so had to do this is a super hard, multiple step way, or just print each part one at a time. Thank you.

Great tip Vlad. You can also right click the top level in the browser and select save as STL, this allows you the option to select each body as a seperate file, or as one file as you showed.

I already knew this, but it is a good tip. What I find strange is that this could be made real simple but instead it is a hidden functionality - It was not long ago, that this cost me a lot of time.

Awesome. I've been making selection sets to do this. Should save a ton of time.

Thanks for the lesson! I wish I saw this video a couple weeks ago.

Great tips, unfortunatly I'd already got that far. You can hold ctrl and just select the bodies from the list too. (could be fusion has a newer version now) What I want to know is how do I export them as one object with multiple parts, so I can section them in Fusion and then select and colour them in Bambulabs without needing to fuss with Bambulabs sectioning tool, which is nothing compared to Fusions

How you can move several models from the same .stl file? In Cura.

Do you know, if it is still impossible to rotate a STL before export/print? I normally design in a natural orientation, but when printing, I need the part to lie flat on the bed. For myself it is fine just to rotate the part in the slicer. Before uploading to thingiverse, I create a temp. rotated copy of the body - not an optimal solution.

I literally just looked this up like 2 hours ago

How do I do the exact opposite? I have cut up a model and want to turn each part into a separate stl

So this did not 100 % work for me, the parts on the inside of my project don't stay in location and goes to the print bed... how do i work around this?

Dont take me wrong maybe im not that smart or is only me but the problem with those vids that show some for people that doesn't know the topic and wants to learn stuff like this type of programs is hard and in my opinion is better start only on what you have todo then continue with diferent possibilities and mistakes to learn but for me is confusing when here is how to export a file you can press this but is not going to work what you need to do is this but also is not going to work cuz is like this that also dont work so you have to do this then this buy in the last part if you do this is hard to do what you can do is use this method holly sh... why just show how to do it then show the different possibilities then the mistakes that can occurs if you do whatever really it will be less confusing at least for people like me not that smart
