How to BULK Export Fusion 360 Files

preview_player
Показать описание
With changes to Fusion 360's Personal Use License, many have wondered if it's possible to bulk export all their files. Unfortunately, there is no native way to export all your Fusion 360 files. However, there are a few add-ins that will automate the process.

Simultaneously export all your project files as STEP, STL, and F3D. Choose your export location, the naming convention, whether or not project folders are included, and if you want the file names to include the version number.

Important: All exported files will include only the latest version. If you need a specific version you will have to manually export it, or you can promote that version to the latest and re-run the add-in.

Any chance you might consider doing some tutorials on FreeCad ? Your style and detail oriented approach is what has had me subscribed to your channel for some time, but I, like many people, won't invest more time into Fusion 360 and are migrating over to FreeCad regardless of the effort it will take at this point. Hollow promises from Autodesk won't change that, and if anyone thinks this is the last time Autodesk will pull the rug out from underneath you, then you only have yourself to blame down the road...

Kevin, why do you think that Fusion 360 is the most powerful instrument available today? Do you have any ways to compare the software in a methodical way?

the plugin you demo'd crashed for me, but your second recommendation worked - Total Exporter

Has Fusion360 included such a function now? For me not having a decent function to store files locally "and to restore them as well".... is the most important reason why I did not switch to Fusion360. Did Fusion360 fix this?

It was only 12 months ago that Autodesk posted the following. Perhaps, one of the elements for the decrying?
"Fusion 360 for personal use (new) – For non-commercial use only. *You’ll have access to everything you need for personal projects including all the design, engineering, documentation, and manufacturing capabilities included in a current Fusion 360 commercial subscription.* Access to collaboration, data management capabilities, and commercial software translators (NX, Catia, Solidworks, Creo, and Inventor) is not included.  Also, support is provided through our community forums for this subscription type. If you’d like to continue with Fusion 360 for personal use, please follow these instructions to convert to the new offering."

This is great sir it helped me a lot though I want to make a suggestion, could you make it where it automatically closes the document after exporting since my project has too many files and it lags or sometimes crashes when there's already too many. I had to manually close everything but still it helped me a lot doing most of everything thank you so much!

Thanks as always for sharing what you've learned. Would you be willing to provide a list of you must have or generally useful Scripts and Add-Ins? Or a link to the blog post or video where you've done so.

I'd love an example of an add-in that does this for 3MF - im running a project that requires a lot of our files to be sent off as 3mf either to our Blender guys or for printing and the STL exports don't work great for those :(
