I remember being in formation in the navy facing the center of our bootcamp room standing at attention for an hour and a half for bunk inspection. Someone collapsed. Damn guy locked in his knee and passed out.

Our RDC after taught us a secret trick, when no one is looking just do a mini-squat. I swear everyone could hear the sound of pops and snap for a few seconds. Neat lol

When I was in a military academy many years ago we would sometimes have formation on the parade field on very hot days. We wore very thick, grey wool uniforms and the heat would be unbearable. Behind us was a wooded ravine and one of the NCO’s would stand back there and whenever anyone fainted he would come out and drag him back to the woods. Lol😮

One of the teachers at my school is a retired Marine Drill Sergeant. When we do bootcamp, he threatens to wake us up with kicking. There are 5th graders at my school. I ADORE that man so much and look up to him. If the Marines make badasses like that, i’m all in.

It’s the same in the Army!
When I was in Basic, we were getting fucked up and a private passed out from heat exhaustion. The Drills rushed to get him ice blankets and he was sent to the hospital and got the Silver Bullet. A buddy of mine who was nearby told a Drill Sergeant that he felt like he was going to black out. They told him he’d have to go to the hospital and get the Silver Bullet, and asked if he still felt like passing out to which he replied “no I feel perfectly fine, Drill Sergeant”

I've always wondered how it is in the US, when a recruit legitimately passes out or is injured badly, how do the drill sargents react to that? I've only seen it in Germany, where a recruit passed out from exhaustion and hit his head, after noticing he wasn't faking they stopped yelling and berating and immediately started first aid
