In this video Pardeep Ahlawat talked about the Indian Council Act of 1892 in English in which the association of Indian with the administration of India increased.

This was bought in response to the formation and increased activities of Indian National Congress,the non official majority in both Central Legislative Council and Provincial Legislative Council was increased through this Indian Council Act of 1892.

1. The Indian Councils Act 1892 was an amendment to the Indian Councils Act 1861.

2. The act increased the number of non-official members in the legislative councils and provided for direct election of some of these members.

3. The act also gave the legislative councils the power to discuss budgets and ask questions about the administration of the government.

4. However, the act did not provide for any significant increase in Indian representation in the government, and the Viceroy and governors retained extensive powers.

5. The act was seen as a minor reform by Indian nationalists, who continued to demand greater representation and self-rule.

6. Nevertheless, the act was a step towards greater democratization of the legislative councils in India, and it paved the way for further constitutional reforms in the future.
