Lol Fuji to Kyoto is not $400 hahaha. The bus is a bit cheaper sure but not by that much. It all depends how much you value your time and comfort as well. Night bus sounds great on paper. But being tired all of the next day from not sleeping right is not worth the money saved for me personally.
