Katie Couric Interviews Vice President Kamala Harris

In this special episode of Next Question, Katie sat down for a rare one-on-one interview in DC with Vice President Kamala Harris in her ceremonial office at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. And there was a lot to talk about.

2024 is here at last, and it’s a monumentally important election year–one that looks more likely every day to be another Biden-Trump re-match. The political news has been heavily skewed toward the Republican side of the race, given the drama of selecting their nominee. Less has been heard from the incumbent administration.

But the campaign is heating up for the Democrats too. From abortion rights to the crisis in Israel and Gaza, shifting voter coalitions and where Biden-Harris need to really make their message sing, such as with Gen Z, this wide ranging conversation gets to the heart of what’s at stake this election year, and what the Biden-Harris administration is doing to make their case to voters.

The answer to the question about late term abortions should have been made crystal clear. Women are NOT walking into doctors’ offices and demanding abortions in the 3rd trimester on some reckless whim (and to suggest that’s the reason is profoundly insulting). Late term abortions are always due to severe abnormalities or extreme risk to the life of the mother. They are heartbreaking to those who have to face that choice.

Thank you for doing this interview. I rarely get to see or hear from Vice-President Harris. I felt that way about VP Mike Pence also. He is a man that I may not agree with his politics but I deeply respect him. I was horrified when people wanted to harm him. The vitriol towards these these two VPs is shocking to me.

Forget about Trump the man. Forget about Biden the man. Forget about the News media. Tune it all out. Clear your mind and compare the achievements and the policies between Trump and Biden, not the men, the policies and see which one is best suited for you and your family but the main thing is to ask yourself this question?....Are me and my family better off now then we were 4yrs ago? After you answered the question then you should vote for whomever best fits your answer. Remember no matter who you vote for just get out and vote this November for the candidate with the best policies for you and your family. Wheater it's Democrat or Republican just make sure you get out and vote this November.

Every supreme ourt hearing has been around roe vs vade and for VP Harris to say she thought roe was settled law is surprising. Dems had full house and senate and white house on their side and never codified roe at federal level. so Please dont yall act like you didnt see this coming.
