0:00 - Intro
0:21 - Changing Eye Level - only when you have at least one strike
1:55 - Moving the Ball Inside & Outside - ex: changeup(inside), curveball(outside)
3:16 - Changing Speeds - double up on the same pitch then change speed - be careful with more than 2 - inside pitches feel faster and outside pitches feel slower - changeup low + away -> changeup low + away -> fastball high + inside
5:45 - Change Your Tempo - take extra time to break their rhythm - pickoff - quick pitch from the stretch: don't do the full leg kick -> only if you're comfortable

Thanks for providing these informative videos. My son watches your vids all the time. He pitches on his 13U Travel team and I know this vid will definitely help. Thanks!

Hey I have a question for you that I haven’t seen anyone answer and like to get your thoughts on it. The new crop of Japanese superstar pitchers are throwing way harder then they ever have before. They also have consistently different mechanics than American and Latin pitchers. They all have that quick pause with their front knee during the middle of their delivery, and then they deliver the pitch.

However they are not lasting that long before requiring Tommy John surgeries. Why do you think that is? You think it’s their mechanics, being overused, something else, differently physical frames? Nobody has answered this but it is happening and consistently too. Not just to Japanese pitchers here, but also in Japan. What’s your theory? I have theories but they are guesses. Thanks.
