This confirms I made two of my best purchases in 2018, and 2022 when I finally caved and got my K2’s.

For someone who does not have a Kronos and did NOT get the Nautilus because they were holding out for a new Kronos, this is great

This would have been great if it had the wavestate, modwave, opsix, multipoly, m1, triton engines built in

Around 2011, I had the chance to get to see Arturo Sandoval at a clinic at Sweetwater along w an extensive walk-thru w my sales guy. Sure it’s changed since then but one room had the 3 ws’s I was interested in. Each one had powered stereo speakers. Out in the hallway was a row of Yamaha’s to include the Avante-garde flagship. Of all the grand piano samples, going back and forth playing, touching, sound quality only one stood out as the best of the best…Kronos hands down! My salesman gave me a great price on the one that I played that day and it arrived at my house. That was an awesome day never to forget.

Well, sad that they didn’t put the z1 as an engine, it could be a really refreshing upgrade for a product that many (as I) think that doesn’t need really to change.
Imagine next to the str1 a z1 or moss or whatever they would call it!

It’s essentially a re-release of Kronos 2 with a faster start up and some new programs. Great for anyone who wants a spanking brand new Kronos 2 . (Now dubbed, Kronos 3).

I own a pair of Kronoses. Other than the faster boot time and the additional patches for the new multisamples, it’s basically a Kronos. Not sure I see myself upgrading to this generation.

A new software update for Kronos 1&2 would be awesome.

I'm really happy about this. I never had a chance at a new Kronos. I understand there's people, both Kronos owners and people in the market for a workstation, who aren't happy it's not a big step ahead. I'm willing to bet the Kronos 4 will be the board they're looking for. We got the Kronos back, Korg knows we love the Kronos. A smart Korg would working on a new Kronos that addresses everyone's concerns in a couple years. For now, enjoy your current Kronos or, like me, enjoy the Kronos 3 when it comes.

Korg, please make the screen position adjustable so it can point at my eyes and not at the ceiling.

1:25 "wood end panels... certainly give an air of quality to the keyboard." LOL, you know what else would give an air of quality? NOT BREAKING. My Kronos 2/73 is the only keyboard I've ever owned that I'm afraid to gig.
