That was the quickest water-pump replacement I've ever seen! Such a pleasure to watch you work.

Labor rate:
$75 an hour
$100 an hour if he watches
$150 an hour if he helps
$200 an hour if he tried to repair it and failed.
All labor rates double if owner is a lawyer.

Your customer was in excellent hands. Wish I had a mechanic like you in my area.

I ABSOLUTELY love your videos. I grew up without a father and had to learn everything on my own workin on cars with a chiltons manual. I wish I would have had a dad like you! Keep up the good work Eric!!

Good morning Eric, I have to give credit to Jeep for designing easy access to components including alternator, compressor and water pump. Since this vehicle is rear drive, other major components repair also easily accessible. As a kid growing up in the 60-70s, many of us were able to fix our own cars because they were rear wheel drive. Granted, pre-emissions, also added more maintenance, including spark plus every 15k, point, condenser, fuel filter, etc. Thank you for taking the time to produce your videos.

Great video, as usual. When I was a kid in the 60's my Dad and I were always fixin stuff, and he hated " that plastic crap" and now it's everywhere we look and especially where we don't, or can't.

Every time you hit the water pump pulling it made a ding sound and it was the exact sound the bell made at the service station I worked at in the late 60s.  There was a hose in the driveway that would make the bell ring when a customer drove up. Thanks for posting these videos.

That was a lucky customer. If I lived anywhere near SMA I would bring all my vehicles in for service and ask to watch. You seem like a great guy and an even better mechanic.

New to your channel but love the work and information you give, always wondered how customers react when you fix their rides and in some cases complex mechanical or electrical issues that your able to resolve. By the looks of it your not a fan of customers being all over you while your working but cool to see satisfied clients and hope to see more of them. Keep up the good work and continue to give your profession a good name.

Another job well diagnosed and done in the minimum of time !
Customer ought to appreciate such intense work ethic, and be very grateful to have his vehicle back so soon !!

I've never seen anyone rapid-fire empty a can of Brake Cleaner like that before. 5 stars! :)

Thanks Eric. You diagnosed my problem and showed me how to fix it. Of course, it's January so I have the pleasure of working on it in the driveway in the cold.

Well done under pressure, with a super endorsement from a satisfied customer as usual.

Generally I don't like distraction while working on anything, especially cars. There was an old mechanic that could not physically do his own car repair so I did the repairs for him. He would sit on a stool in my shop and watch without saying much, but when I was having a problem he would casually suggest I might try doing this or that. I learned a lot from that old mechanic and enjoyed his company besides.

The secret is out: for faster service, customers should sit in the bay during the repair.

Great to see someone else struggling with figuring out how that belt goes back on. Thanks for sharing!

You do a awesome job man. Thank you for taking your time out to show us step by step. You dont have to take this time and you have said time, and time again that you get behind for these things. Time is money. Here is a 12-pack of coke for the troubles atleast. I have been blessed to get my job back at a better pay than before, so this is my way of saying thank you.

This is absolutely the best auto repair channel on youtube. Eric, you are great at diagnosing everything that comes thru the door. It's great to watch a skilled honest mechanic. I found your channel a week ago and have watched at least 20 videos already.
