The muffin man legend was not a legend, he was an actual serial killer who would lure kids in with muffins, once the kids got into his bakery, they were never seen again (the muffin man kills them). The song was made to make kids aware of him, so that they wouldnt get killed. He's also a serial killer (I think he was the first ever serial killer)
