Echo and Narcissus

All along the streams, a soft echo cries,
A whispering voice that yet carries high!
Resounds in its own bosom and its breath,
And never falters..in this heart, which vibrates

Rustling and moaning in its sounding cavern
Out of a busy world that no longer listens
And like emerging from the profound night,
To shores of songs tinkles its poetic lament
And its orphic chant!

Perfumes of blossoms there in concert perform
Their sweet symphonies in fragrances and foil
What can only be  sensitive to echo
Intimate... Sound raptures, far from the ego!

O forests and woods! There beside the rocks,
Rest her barren bones, in the ashes of past,
Her miserable corpse there has sunk and bogged
At the roots of Love that was once despised...

Nearby Narcissus reflecting with passion
His own image! Far  from echoes of her voice,
Far from the flutes' sound, from the preserved soul...
There where Love's only tremors of emotion!

Lean and lend your ear to this sweet silence!
Halfway melody and melancholy,
At the source of heart, still is a presence!
A voice fell silent but resounds endlessly

Voice of a poet and their song, intimate
Sweet cries to this world that we decimate!

Vile and Cruel scourge! Hubris and vanity....

Not mentioned, but like about half the language, “do” can be used in a sexual sense. You can do someone. The couple finally did it after fairing for three months.
