i reached c1 level at nineteen years old during the two years of the pandemic, with depression and a lot of trashy american tv shows.
if i could do it, you can do it too ✨✨

My Cambridge Certificate says I'm already a C1 user, but there's still so much to learn. My ultimate goal is to master the language and become as fluent as it's possible for a non-native speaker of English. Hope to sit my C2 exam one day.

in brief:
In this video, the speaker discusses the C1 advanced level of English, which is the ultimate goal for many English learners.
The speaker explains that C1 is about fluency with a deep understanding of the nuances of the English language, including phrases that native speakers naturally use and understanding subtle jokes.
The video focuses on the grammar needed to achieve the C1 level, which is less about learning entirely new grammatical structures and more about learning grammatical nuances and fine-tuning one's repertoire of phrases.

Key grammatical concepts covered in the video include:
- Tenses: Advanced uses of past, present, and future tenses.
- Modals: Advanced structures for speculation and deduction.
- Conditionals: Advanced usage of words and phrases to replace "if."
- Passive Voice: Using passive infinitive and passive ING forms.
- Negative Inversion: Adding emphasis and variation to writing and speaking.
- Hedging and Boosting: Softening or increasing the force of statements.
- Phrasal Verbs: Understanding their various meanings depending on the context.
- Conjunctions and Connectors: Mastering coordinating, correlative, and subordinating conjunctions and connectors to form complex and varied sentence structures.

The speaker has also created a free ebook that details everything covered in the video, as well as additional grammar, vocabulary, and skills needed for the C1 level. The ebook is available for download through a link in the video description.

I write this from India. Having been a voracious reader since my childhood... I have achieved C1 level already. I am mostly a loner as no one thinks I am their ilk. Thats my crown, actually.
I wish to enhance and enrich my english with knowing nuances and having native conversations . Truly looking forward to your programs here. Thanks for this beautiful introduction... I still have to learn a lot more.

I stopped learning English ten years ago, I got a B2 level, but, I finally decided to get the C1. Actually, it was sooo hard at the beginning, but I am studying and improving. 😊

I did your online test and it said my level is presumably C2 which seems to be overly optimistic to me. I just spend to days with my lovely British friend in Berlin and I felt more I’m on a B2 level as I’m not used to speak English as often as I would like to do. Searching both for grammar and vocabulary. So I guess it would be a perfect idea to join your C1 course even if your fantastic tenses challenge was sometimes quite demanding, at least for me. Btw I utterly love the way you’re teaching English with such a great level joy for your language and plenty of emphasis. 👍🇬🇧🇩🇪

I just know every but the thing is that it is mandatory to learn 16k vocab to reach C1 provided that I need to learn more and more lest I should not be able to communicate with natives precisely.

But this lesson was exceptional and concise.

At no time have I had such an indispensable lesson before.
