Dr. Trento did my last heart surgery in 1997 its been 25yrs today with the same valve & no issues. If it wasn’t for him i wouldn’t be here right now 4 open heart surgeries in 9 months at the age of 7.

I was diagnosed with aortic valve regurgitation and my biggest wish in life is that I would see my 3 years old daughter celebrate her 18 th birthday.... moreover I have learnt to be greatful for every second am living.

33 years old, just had mechanical aortic valve placed. Sucks I have to take Coumadin forever now when my hobbies are motorcycle riding, working on cars/bikes, etc.
But I guess I should be grateful.

THANK YOU for such an informative video! I have a hard decision which type to choose. I am 54 years old now, I had a repair of coarctation of the aorta at age 5 and have enjoyed an active life all this time. I'm 30 yo diagnosed with critical stenosis of biscupid aortic valve... I was implanted with on x valve (aorta) I'm now 1 year after surgery and feel a lot better than before ....the main issue I have after surgery is a bit of anxiety ...and valve is a bit loud but don't bother me too much ...I hope to live to old age...I'm on warfarin so bleeding is a risk
