Normally YouTube educational videos are percieved like idotic and completely wrong as they are made by incompetent people.
But, place these videos on Skillshare, and sell them for $10 a month and suddenly they become academic lessons.

Most of the examples people give of golden ratio in nature, art and architecture are sooo arbitrary and fudged. Look closely at them, don't just accept that what you are being told is correct

The "golden ratio" is a con.
The reality is that most shapes in nature are symmetrical, and any symmetrical form can be divided into thirds. But it's totally arbitrary. You can divide it into thirds, you can divide it into fourths, and you can take any detail of the the design and do such dividing.
It's a totally arbitrary aspect of the general symmetry.
