Taurid Meteor Stream and Global Catastrophes

Evidence suggests Earth’s encounters with the Taurid meteor stream have caused significant catastrophes, with some theorizing it as a key factor in the Younger Dryas boundary impacts. While smaller events may be regional, objects half a mile or larger in diameter could have global consequences, reshaping planetary history.

The amazing part is, even the rock that struck 65 million years ago was just a speck next to the Earth. It's like hitting a beachball with a speck of dust, and the entire surface of the beach ball is destroyed.
Scary.

If you REALLY wanted to marshall all the powers that be to protect our future Earth, it should definitely include a response system for asteroids.

The Draconid meteors come from a region identifued as a dragon. In ancient & medieval texts, near-earth comets and asteroids are often referred to as "dragons". No doubt the original observors meant it metaphorically, but over time, in the retelling, came to be taken literally!

The Taurid meteor stream will destroy the Earth much much sooner than a bunch of cows farting. The wacky environmentalist are nuts.

@therandallcarlson Do you find that there are these types of events that occur on the North American continent more so than other continents? I live in the Inland NW and am fascinated by the geological history. Thanks

I would love to hear his assessment of the Burckle impact around 5000 years ago.

Most of the impact there is a here is about one huge meteorite. But what if we traveled through a debris field four a few days? Every quarter mile or so we get hit by something the size of a golf ball. I am Magine that would be a reset as well.

Earth has had several asteroid strikes over the millions and billions of years. Each impact increases the weight and volume of the planet. I know that each impact has a negligible change, but what effect does the cumulative change over time have? Does it slow Earth's rotation (daily), and would it affect the number of days in a year over time?

you dont need that big of a meteor to half global impact.
lets say it is small and it hase impact on one continent.. do you realy think that will not effect the rest of the world?

Have suggested for years a raising NASA funds from one half cent per dollar to one cent, with the one half penny boast go to studying the 2 streams

Maybe, just maybe we can use these thousands of nuclear weapons on meteors instead of cities. 🤔

If these theory is true where is the crater? A meteoroid doesn’t have enough mass to cause major climate changes but the material he hit has. So you need a crater to do damage. Haven’t heard of a crater that fits this time.

I consider you, Doctor Carlson. What is your opinion on the timeline of the Younger Dryas period because of the Taurid Meteor stream; linear speaking compared with the Biblical account?
