Megaton Secrets You May Have Missed | Fallout Secrets

Megaton has many secrets for players to find, some secrets are easy to find, others hard, but rest assured that all 5 of these secrets can be found in Megaton. The only question I ask you, is how many of these secrets did you already know of? Leave a like if you learned something new, or leave a dislike, guilt free, if you learned nothing.

Burke was never there for me.
Edit. I mean he didn’t show up, I don’t mean he let me down on an emotional level.
To be clear.

Stockholm is the balcony guard for Megaton. You arent meant to interact with him at all, but the devs decided to give him exclusive dialog should you find a way aloft.
I find this addition absolutely adorable.

Another thing is that if you wear sheriff's outfit new dialogue will pop up with a few people

Lucas simm's house has a hatch that leads to his roof with a nice view of the city. Gob can take over the saloon if you kill Moriarty.

Everyone probably know this one but if you kill Moriarty, Gob will take over and change the sign to say "Gobs Saloon".

Fun fact about Moira's mercenary: in polish version of F3 he is called Mel, because of his leather armor inspired by Mad Max 2. And as we know, Max Rockatansky was played by Mel Gibson.
You can also find death mercs in learher armors in few locations in Washington (i've found two, but don't remember where). They are also called Mel.

Mister burke: STOP! You've violated the la- ahem excuse me, sometimes my past just sneaks up on me.

2:40 In my first run of F3 I literally just did that.
Also I preemptively unloaded half of clip into Burke's face because that sounded like "yo, we gonna go, boi!".
Good Karma achieved!

I love sniping in Fallout so thanks to you I can now get a sniper rifle early. I can’t believe I didn’t know this.

If you turn Burke into sheriff Simms and wait for him to pull his gun, then open vats and gun down Burke before he murders Simms, the quest line continues properly without Simms being killed, as he goes hostile as soon as his gun is drawn. If you already have yours out you can fire first.

burke was so mad I wish you could troll him further

I think that “S” is for “Stockholm” the sniper that defends the front gate of megaton

found out about the burke extra dialogue on accident before, and the sniper hidden in the rock was one of the first things i knew about the game and i ALWAYS pick it up when starting a playthrough

Also wow that hollow rock is quite a godsend for new games, a mid- tier weapon at an early stage, keep it good condition and someone who sells 308 and it can carry you.

You have a new subscriber. Love your style, straight to the point.
I've watched some other videos and, while i like the challenges, i prefer this kind of content. Would love to see more secrets and lore on New Vegas and other Fallouts too ^^

There are notes from "S" to "E" in Oblivion, Fallout 3 here, and Fallout 4 as well. It appears to be some sort of Bethesda running gag. Not sure who S and E might be, but my guess is that they refer to actual Bethesda employees, or perhaps someone close to a Bethesda employee
