The myocardium, or heart, is a muscle unlike any other muscle within the human body. It’s unique in that it can generate its own electrical impulse known as automaticity. In this video, we will discuss the pathway of the electrical impulse from the SA node in the atria, through the middle of the heart and to where it terminates at the end of the Purkinje fibers in the ventricles.
